
This virtual course, offered in English, provides a general and practical overview of the most commonly used statistical tools and techniques in biomedical research. The course will enable participants to develop the skills and understanding necessary for analyzing and interpreting results. Participants will also gain experience interpreting:
- Statistical results published in scientific articles
- Reports generated by specialized statistical software, such as SPSS, Stata, or Epi Info, which support the course exercises.
Characteristics
Target audience: Professionals, healthcare workers, young researchers, and undergraduate and graduate students. Participants should have basic knowledge of statistics.
- Virtual modality with pre-recorded videos for flexible, self-paced learning (“flipped classroom”).
- Study materials to reinforce key concepts, available to download and keep
- Hands-on synchronous sessions of coding statistical analyses in R
- The program consists of 16 sessions, which amounts to 96 hours of dedication
