About Our Organization
We are a non-profit research and technological development center focused on infectious diseases, innovation, and the training of human talent in the biomedical field. Our purpose is to seek alternatives to reduce the impact of infectious diseases on the health and well-being of the population through basic and applied research.
As an “autonomous” entity within Colombia’s National System of Science, Technology, and Innovation, we serve as an institutional model that explores and pushes the boundaries of biomedical research on communicable diseases. Our multidisciplinary team collaborates closely with public health, industry, and academic sectors at the national and international levels to develop health solutions and enhance scientific and technological capacity.
