OUR PURPOSE
The aim of the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Research Unit is to develop and contribute to research studies on diseases of public health interest, ensuring that they are adequately designed to answer important research questions, and that their data are of high quality and analyzed in a valid manner.
The methodological support provided by this unit to the research projects developed within CIDEIM enables them to achieve reliable and accurate results, minimizing biases that may affect the internal and external validity of the studies, while ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of the information obtained.
RESEARCH AREAS:
Conducting population-based studies on diseases of public health significance.
Proposing study designs and analyzing resulting data using statistical methods.
Designing databases for effective data management.
Creating mobile and desktop applications tailored to the needs of researchers both within and outside CIDEIM.
Providing training and coaching to individuals within and outside CIDEIM in relevant skill areas by the unit's staff.
