Who we are
We are the Social Innovation in Health Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean (SIHI LAC Hub), an initiative that seeks to promote social innovation as a strategy to improve the quality and access to health services in the region through research, capacity building, and intersectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Learn more about our Hub:
We are one of 13 hubs worldwide that have been part of the Social Innovation in Health initiative since 2017, led by TDR/WHO, a global network of individuals and organizations united by a common goal: to promote social innovation in health to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and improve the lives of communities in low- and middle-income countries.
The SIHI LAC Hub is led by the International Center for Medical Training and Research (CIDEIM, Colombia), in collaboration with the Antonio Vidal Institute of Infectious Diseases and Parasitology (IAV, Honduras) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO, Washington DC). This strong alliance has allowed us to extend the reach of social innovation in health throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, impacting lives and transforming communities in the region.

We are an interdisciplinary team that believes in social transformation in community health through innovation and community empowerment.
