TDR Global is a worldwide community of passionate scientists and experts who have been working with TDR on research on infectious diseases of poverty.
If you have been a TDR grantee for a research project or have participated in a TDR-funded course or workshop, you can become part of this dynamic community.
Our diverse backgrounds unite around a common cause that transcends individual contributions and national boundaries.
For over 40 years, TDR – the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, co-funded by UNICEF, UNDP, the World Bank, and WHO – has made significant strides in strengthening research capacity to alleviate the impact of poverty-related infectious diseases. In this process, it has engaged researchers and experts worldwide.
Each member brings unique knowledge, contributing to a vibrant and expanding scientific community known as TDR Global. This community is committed to combating diseases of poverty through research and innovation.
TDR Global is a tapestry woven with the colorful threads of each member’s culture, background, efforts, and experiences!
This shared thread connects experts with emerging scientists, students, and researchers, providing training and funding opportunities and linking research communities with world-class training.
Since 2019, CIDEIM has been chosen as the TDR Global regional node for the Latin America and Caribbean region. This role involves supporting TDR Global’s regional outreach and offering training, research, and collaboration opportunities for its members.
The TDR Global community operates through a dedicated online platform, consolidating profiles of all members to facilitate collaboration and mentoring opportunities, accessible to both visitors and members alike.
