Since 2011 I work in the diagnosis of cutaneous leishmaniasis in patients from the Pacific Region in Colombia. I coordinate the clinical laboratory following the parameters of Good Clinical Practices and current regulations, I participate in the design and implementation of new diagnostic procedures that support care and research to provide new alternatives for diagnosis, treatment and care of patients suffering from this disease. I am part of the team of the clinical research unit that coordinates and executes the screening and recruitment of participants for the different research projects carried out at CIDEIM, contributing to the training of undergraduate, postgraduate, and health workers in diagnostic methodologies of leishmaniasis.
