Research in CIDEIM is developed along three broad lines – prevention and control; host-pathogen interaction; and, chemotherapy and resistance – which together constitute an integrated approach to infectious diseases. The three lines are directed towards the same goal: defining solutions to health problems from the perspective of diverse disciplines in the basic and applied sciences..
